On October 10th 2016, there was an article posted by Jef Cozza on CIO Today which talks a about how Avaya is rolling out a new cloud networking platform, along with new Networking and Communications Hardware. It is said that this cloud network is focused on simplifying and accelerating the deployment and management networks. This was announced last week during the IP Expo in London. This platform includes a new type of network lifecycle management solution for both midsize business clients and enterprises.
Avaya mentioned that this new network will be more scalable and secure as well as unified since this is a cloud based network.
Here is what was a statement about the cloud networking that was released by the company.
“Avaya Cloud Networking provides IT professionals with centralized management, visibility, and control over their network without the complexity of controller appliances or overlay management software.”
Jean Turgeon, the chief technologist at Avaya Networking has much to say about the future of the cloud networking.
“As the demand for unified access solutions continues to grow, the burden of managing and securing networks has become nearly untenable -- especially at a time when there’s pressure to reduce IT budgets and resources. The Avaya Cloud Networking Platform provides the much needed relief with a highly-secure, cost-effective solution that fits any size business.”
Avaya was founded in 1995 as a part of Lucent Technologies. Before this, the company was under AT&T. It wasn’t into October 2nd 2000 when the company went public under the stock symbol AV.
