2. Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. - Samsung is a South Korean electronics company that focuses on manufacturing devices such as Android tablets, Galaxy S phones, HDTVs, home theater equipment, and many other devices. One of the most successful technology conglomerates in the world, Samsung is known for making more smartphones than any other company. As of December 2019, Samsung’s sales has reported $229.8 billion in sales with a market capitalization of $363 billion.
3. IBM - IBM was founded in 1911 when it was first launched as a producer of punch card tabulating machines. In 1981, the company released the very first personal computer, which very quickly became the standard. The company’s latest sales, reported as of December 2019, has been up to $93.4 billion and a market capitalization of $130.8 billion.
4. Foxconn Technology Group - You may have heard of a little company called Foxconn, made famous for being one of the world’s largest electronics contract manufacturers and biggest producer of Apple products, made even more famous for their investment of employee wellbeing. They are currently facing fierce competition for Apple contracts, which, paired with the cost of improvements in Chinese labor standards have lowered the company’s profits over recent years. 5. Fujitsu - Fujitsu was established in 1935. After IBM, it is the second oldest technology company. With headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, Fujitsu designs and manufactures a wide variety of products including personal computers, phones, storage systems, notebooks PCs, car audio, GPS navigation systems, tablets, and accessories. Despite having to close up shop in certain parts of the world, they remain one of the largest manufacturers and as of December 2019m have generated sales of 19 billion and a market capitalization of 3.87 billion.
6. Lenovo - A computer technology company with its headquarters in Beijing, China, Lenovo is a company that manufactures designs, develops, and sells personal computers, smartphones, workstations, tablet computers, electronic storage devices, servers, IT management software, smart televisions and more. Their products include the Think Centre line of desktops and the ThinkPad line of notebooks. Lenovo claims to be the world’s largest vendor of personal computers. Reports from December 2019 show that they have sales of $51.8 billion as well as a market capitalization of $7.97 billion
7. ASUSTeK - ASUSTeK is based in Taipei, Taiwan, and manufactures computers, communication products, consumer electronics and others. Their products are sold in the United States as an ASUS brand. They also sell tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and various other computer components. They operate around 50 service sites across 32 countries with over 400 service providers. In their latest sales (reported December 2019) they have seen a profit of $11.7 billion and a market capitalization of $5.53 billion.
