On October 14, 2014, Linksys announced their new Linksys WRT 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch (SE4008). This new switch will be one of the first in the company’s new line of networking peripherals designed to complimentary work with the Linksys Wireless-AC Dual Band Wireless Router (WRT1900AC) which is one of the Linksys’s bestselling products.
The new WRT 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch will be able to deliver speeds up to 1,000 Mbps (ten times faster than Fast Ethernet), Quality of Service network prioritization & streaming, Auto-Sensing Ports, and LED indicators. Up to eight devices will be able to be connected to the new switch, bringing maximum transfer speeds to wired electronic products including game consoles, printers, hard drives, and IP cameras.
